It's Never Too Late For a Garden!
Greens in March from an Urban Farm Company garden after being over wintered (harvested a whole month or two before a garden planted in the spring).
Delicious cold season crops (think all salad greens) planted in August and September.
Bacteria, fungi, and great soil structures develops over the winter.
1) "Over Winter" Your Crops: Plant in the late fall and harvest in March.
2) Plant a Fall Crop:
lettuce, spinach, kale, broccoli, cabbage, peas, radishes...
3) Build Soil Structure:
Our soil often does even better the second year.
Fall is a great time for an installation! Why?
